HRV boys soccer camp
Aug 11-14
The Hood River
Valley High School boys soccer team will be hosting a camp Aug.
11-14 to prepare players for the fall soccer season. All players
planning to play soccer for the high school teams should plan on
attending. Sign-ups will be 5 p.m. Aug. 11 at the Westside
soccer fields. The camp is free and runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
each day.

Ed Fall soccer sign-ups through Aug. 15
Sign-ups for
Community Education fall soccer for U-10, U-12 and U-14 leagues
are being held through Aug. 15. The league is for children
entering grades three-eight this fall. League fee is $39.
Practices begin the week of Aug. 25 and games begin in
mid-September and are held on Saturdays. Call 386-2055 to
register.

The Hood River
Valley High school girls soccer team will be holding a camp Aug
12-14 from 9-11:30 a.m. for all players interested in playing
this fall. Tryouts will be the following week, Aug. 18-22 from
9-11:30 a.m. Both events will be at Westside Elementary school.

Rouse win ICWG Days Play
Days Play for
the Indian Creek Women’s Golf Association this week was “First
four and last five.” First gross went to Candace Smith with a
39, and Darlene Roberts took second with a 44. First net went to
Paige Rouse with 31. Patsy Prideaux took second with 32 and
Cindy Dolin, Clara Rice and Jo Smith with 36. The club
championship tournament is Aug. 14-15 at 8:30 a.m. both days.

soccer league deadline Aug. 22
Adults 18 and
over interested in playing in the Hood River Co-ed Soccer League
can register online for the fall season at hoodriversoccer.com.
The registration deadline is Aug. 22. If you have questions
about the league, please see the Web site, or contact the league
administrator Lisa Knight Davies at lmk234@yahoo.com. The league
is a recreational league open to players of all skill levels.
Returning players will remain with their current teams. New
players will be assigned to teams.
The league
expects to have between 4-6 teams this season. Games are Monday
and Wednesday evenings at 5:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church
in Hood River. The season starts Aug. 25 and will run through
October. Cost is $30. |
