Free sports physicals June 7
Columbia Gorge Family Medicine and Gorge Spine and Sports
medicine are coordinating a free sports clinic for all students
in the mid-Columbia area. This year’s clinic will be held in the
Hood River Middle School cafeteria on June 7 from 9 a.m. to
noon. Students entering sixth through eighth grade will be 9-10
a.m., ninth through 10th grade from 10-11 a.m. and students
entering 11th through 12th grade will be from 11 a.m. to noon.
Students will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
Parent signature is required for students under age 15. For more

baseball alumni game June 7
There will be an HRVHS alumni baseball game Saturday, June 7, at
Traner Field. Gates open at 9 a.m. for warmup and the game
starts at 10 a.m. A barbeque will follow the game for all
participants. There is a $25 fee per alumni to play in the game
and there will also be an entrance fee of $3 per adult and $2
for children 12 and under.
The money goes as a fund-raiser for this year’s summer baseball
team. Players can register the morning of the event or
pre-register by contacting Chris Albertson at (541) 386-4500,

Dixon win Days Play
At the Indian Creek Womens Golf Association May 29 Days Play,
Cynthia Brocklesby recorded the low gross score with a 92 while
Trish Dixon took low net with a 67. Sandra Jeffries took second
in low gross with a 93, Sue Gaulke was third with a 99 and Paige
Rouse was fourth with a 101. Cindy Dolin was second in low net
with a 74, and Irene Kiyokawa and Diana Das tied for third with
a 75. Days Play is on Thursdays at 8:30 a.m. with the draw at
8:15 Golfers do not have to be a member to play Days Play.
Gorge football sign-ups through July 11
The
seventh annual season of the Gorge Football League will begin
July 28 and sign-ups for players entering fourth-sixth grade are
through July 11. Players must be under 12 years old and birth
certificates and proof of medical insurance are required upon
registration. Fourth graders will be accepted with both parent
and coaches approval only. Players will play a six-game schedule
of full-contact football with equipment that meets full safety
standards. The registration fee of $55 per player may be paid to
Community Education. For more information or to register,

Little
League board meets June 9
The Hood River Little League Main Board is holding a meeting on
Monday, June 9, at 8 p.m., at the West Side Fire Department,
1185 Tucker Road.
