Fire trucks prepare
Dec. 10-12 parade

December 11, 2007

This week Hood River Valley fire departments will make their annual Christmas parade through Hood River Valley neighborhoods, from 6-9 p.m. Below are the dates, times and routes:

Monday — Odell/Pine Grove

The parade will begin at 6 p.m. with a 10-15 minute static display at the Odell Fire Station, then proceed as follows: Mud Alley Road to Odell Highway, to Summit, east to Bartlett Loop, to Wy’east south, to Davis Drive, to AGA Road; make loop in AGA Mobile Home Park.

AGA Road north to Odell Highway, to Chevron Drive, to Midway, to Gateway, Lingren south to Davis Road, to Sunday Road, to Thomsen Road/Neal Creek intersection.

At this point the Pine Grove Fire Station leads the parade from Thomsen Road to Fir Mountain, Wells Drive, Van Horn Drive, to Highway 35, to Glass Drive, to Eastside Road, to Highline, to Old Columbia River Highway, ending at the China Gorge Restaurant.

Tuesday — Parkdale/Dee

Tuesday’s parade begins at the Parkdale Fire station at 6 p.m. and proceeds to Fifth Street, to Baseline, to Clear Creek, to Culbertson, to Baseline, to Tollbridge, to Highway 35, to the north end of Miller, south to Highway 35, to Woodworth, to Old Parkdale Road, to Trout Creek, to Dee Highway, to the Dee Fire Station, to Punch Bowl Road, to Green, to Collins and to Alder.

Wednesday — West Side/Hood River

The parade will begin at 6 p.m. with a 10-15 minute static display at the West Side Fire Department Rockford Station, then travel Barrett to Methodist Road, to Belmont, to Westside Elementary School for another 10-15 minute static display.

The parade will resume on Belmont to Avalon to Adams Loop, to Park Place, to Belmont, to Henderson, then east on Avalon to Belmont.

At this point the Hood River Fire Department takes the lead and travels 13th Street to Down Manor, to Brookside Manor, to Eliot Drive, to Eighth, to Pacific, to 12th, to May Street, to Fourth, to Serpentine, to State, to Sherman, to 22nd, to Montello, to 17th, to May Street, to Rand Road, to Cascade, to Oak, and ending up at Tum-A-Lum Lumber.
